UnGodly Hours

Saturday, August 20th, 2005

I’ve been meaning to share with the world my thoughts on the UnGodly Hours. They are the hours between 4:00 and 6:00. If you have stayed up that late, you’re probably doing something UnGodly. If you have to get up that early, there’s an UnGodly expectation happening. Please note that in classifying these times as UnGodly, I am not saying they are evil. I pondered this as appropriate, but realized that not all things that happen during the UnGodly Hours are evil. Didn’t expect to knock the earth off its axis with this, just putt’in it out there:-)

Last Day

Wednesday, August 17th, 2005

So today was my last day at work.
Sad.
Distracted.
Excited.
Happy.
Interesting that it takes saying goodbye to realize how much you love.

Kelly’s Clock

Tuesday, August 9th, 2005

So my friend Chris has this website about the The Long Now- www.longnow.org on his blog. I found the site very interesting and thought provoking, most thoughts of which I will not bore you with today. I started contmeplating the idea of clocks-the ones we build that tick on our walls and the ones we have built in us. I started thinking about how circadian (or QUOTIDIAN:-) rythms, can be thought of as chemical clocks and how, in concert with the environment, our DNA triggers the chemical rythms of our days, weeks, months and years.
I had the idea that I keep time /track people in my reality through my own mental clocks. A “tick” on the clock would be when that person enters my current reality-whether through a thought, a phone call, an e-mail, or a physcial interaction. This mental clock/reality has daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly ticks. Didn’t really finish the idea-it’s still a concept under construction.

The body

Thursday, August 4th, 2005

I’ve been looking for good sites that teach about the body. I found this http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/body/
It has video and explanations for all kinds of funky stuff.

Hello World

Monday, August 1st, 2005

So I’ve broken down, or stepped up (not sure which), and started a blog. I’m hoping that this will prove to be a way for my peeps to connect with me on my adventures-big and small.
